In addition to these Indexes, NFRBO has a search box, located on the right side of the screen, so you can search case summaries by using key words and phrases.
Statutory Index
This index helps you locate case summaries that deal with specific sections of the Michigan No-Fault Act. If you know that your research issue deals with a specific section of the statute, it is highly recommended that you begin your research by clicking on the specific statutory section which will produce a list of all case summaries dealing with that statutory section. You can then click on the individual case name and read the summary of the decision.
Topical Index
This index helps you locate case summaries that deal with issues that are not addressed by specific sections of the Michigan No-Fault Act. An example would be cases dealing with; uninsured/underinsured motorist benefits; cancellation & rescission of policies; legislative and purpose and intent; and federal court jurisdiction.
Chronological Index
This index is a chronological table of cases that is divided by year and allows you to easily identify and review any and all no-fault decisions released in a given year.
Alphabetical Index
This index is a table of all cases that are summarized in NFRBO, arranged alphabetically. Therefore, if you know the name of a specific case and want to access the summary, utilize the alphabetical index to locate the case.
