CASE SUMMARY:
In this Opinion by Judge R. B. Burns, the Court of Appeals held that for purposes of uninsured motorist benefits, an off the road vehicle such as a snowmobile is not a "vehicle" when actually being operated off the road at the time of the accident. Thus, the carrier was not obligated to provide uninsured motorist benefits when the snowmobile collided with another snowmobile on the frozen surface of a lake.
